Introduction
Autodesk University 2026 runs September 15–17 in Las Vegas and online, bringing together more than 12,000 Design and Make professionals for over 500 sessions.
This is my living summary for people working in AEC, BIM, automation, and software development. I will update it as useful recordings, class materials, and announcements become available.
What Matters at AU 2026
- AI for real work: Look beyond demos. Useful AI should solve a clear problem, use trusted project data, show evidence, and keep professionals responsible for decisions.
- Connected data: Revit, Forma, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Tandem, Data Exchange, Autodesk Platform Services, and IFC can connect information across design, construction, and operations.
- Practical automation: Revit API, Dynamo, cloud automation, model validation, and data pipelines can reduce repetitive work when the process remains traceable and maintainable.
- Community knowledge: Project stories reveal what worked, what failed, and what teams learned—often more clearly than product announcements alone.
My Learning Shortlist
| Area | What I want to learn |
|---|---|
| AI and agents | Grounding answers in trusted design and construction data |
| BIM review | Faster checks with traceable findings |
| Revit and Dynamo | Useful automation patterns for daily work |
| Autodesk Platform Services | APIs, viewers, data access, and cloud automation |
| Forma and connected data | Moving information between planning, design, and delivery |
| Open data | IFC interoperability and long-term access to project information |
For every session, I will capture the problem, approach, evidence, and one idea worth testing. This turns conference content into practical knowledge.
Free Knowledge for Everyone
Attending an international event can be expensive. Flights, accommodation, registration, and time away from work put AU out of reach for many people. Missing the event should not mean missing every opportunity to learn from it.
I created the public WTH AU 2026 repository to share useful AU resources with students, independent developers, small teams, and professionals who cannot attend. Learn at your own pace, share useful discoveries, and help the knowledge travel beyond the conference.
